Time to go out for a drive - But not just any drive! Dust off your classic car, sports car or supercar and explore the ribbon of roads laced through the Cotswolds, whilst competing on Quest Drive and stopping off and tasting the variety of gin.

Easy Navigation

Navigation will be by an easy-to-follow GPS app showing junctions as simple line diagrams (known as “Tulips” in the rallying world), pictures and maps. Each driving section will have Quest Drives incorporated into them which will consist of route based questions and challenges.

The days will be short with driving sections after breakfast each day and gin tastings and activities in the afternoon to then allow plenty of time to relax and enjoy the evening.

The event has a minimum of 8 cars to participate.

Questions & Answers

Q: How do I secure an entry?

A: Complete the entry form, and press submit. You will receive an e mail by return with our bank details on it. Please transfer the non-refundable deposit to secure your entry.

In the next 7 days you will receive an invoice for the total amount showing the deposit paid.

Q: Is there a minimum age?

Yes, because this event included gin, the minimum age is 18.

Q: What car can I bring?

A: As the route isn't timed but more about your observation, it doesn't matter what car you bring. Whether it is electric to vintage, you will compete against each other. Something to bear in mind is that there will not be a mechanic on the event. You will need to have a crew of 2 people to participate.

Q: When is the balance due?

A: The balance is due before the 9th Feb 2024. You will receive an e mail reminder prior to the date.

Q: Why is the deposit non-refundable?

A: The deposit represents the deposit we have to pay to the hotels to secure the rooms as well as the initial costs for route recce. Neither of these costs are recoverable.

Q: Who is organising this event, who are the organisers?

A: The route is created and developed by Venture Bound. Venture Bound is run by Elise Whyte one half of the Whyte Sisters Classic Rally Car Team.

DAY 1 - Thursday

Whatley Manor Hotel on a Gin Discovery with Quest Drive from Venture Bound

Arriving mid afternoon at Audley Wood Hotel near Basingstoke, you are welcomed by the Venture Bound team, who will be with you for the entire experience looking after your every need. You will received all your documentation for the event and a practice route will be available to get acquainted with the app.

The evening begins with a chance to meet everyone on the event with a Gin and Tonic reception before moving on to dinner at the hotel.

DAY 2 - Friday

Inside a Gin Distillery on a Gin Discovery with Quest Drive from Venture Bound

The morning begins with your Quest Drive towards the beautiful Cotswold hills. A coffee break at a traditional country pub, then it’s back on the road to see more wonderful countryside views. The morning concludes at the Sibling Distillery in Cheltenham where lunch will be served.

A short drive to our hotel to park before heading over to Piston distillery where you spend the rest of the afternoon distilling, tasting and exploring their gins. A brief trip back to the hotel where dinner will be served.

DAY 3 - Saturday

A dinner Cruise with a live Jazz Band on Hobbs Boat on a Gin Discovery with Quest Drive from Venture Bound

After breakfast, the competition commences with a drive through the Cotswolds and a breif stop at a distillery to arrive at a picturesque pub for lunch. The afternoon brings about more Quest Drive before finishing late afternoon.

Tonight's hotel is the Voco Thames Hotel where you can park the cars and prepare for the evening entertainment. This evening you will be dining on your very own private cruise on the Thames, accompanied by a live Jazz band with a gin reception from the local distillery.

DAY 4 - Sunday

Discover rolling countryside on a Gin Discovery with Quest Drive from Venture Bound

The final day begins with a morning drive through the Chiltern Hills. The last competitve Quest Drives will bring us to the famous Bombay Sapphire distillery. Here you will have time to explore the distillery, before finishing early afternoon and heading back to Audley Wood Hotel.

Tonight you will finish the gin discvoery with a gin tasting of more local gins before heading into the farwell dinner. There will be a small awards presentation for overall Quest Drive winners, as well as special awards on the Quest Drive challenges.

Each guest will also receive a gin related gift as a memento of the event.
