If you’re looking for a brilliant way to spend a family afternoon, I can’t recommend the Quest Drive treasure hunts by Venture Bound enough. We recently took one on with two adults and three kids, and it was a hit from start to finish.
The format is perfect for a car-based adventure. It’s self-guided via an app, which gave us the freedom to move at our own pace without feeling rushed. We ended up stopping at a couple of the suggested pubs along the route and one great coffee spot, which made for a lovely, relaxed day out rather than just a non-stop drive.
The kids were completely engaged, hunting for clues and helping us solve the puzzles at each location. It’s rare to find an activity that keeps a car-full of children that entertained for a solid two hours! Plus, the competitive element is a nice touch—we were actually pretty proud of our final score.
At around £35 per route, it’s fantastic value for a group of five. If you want to explore some hidden gems in your local area (or somewhere new) while keeping the whole family happy, definitely give it a go. Louise P
