Easy Navigation

Navigation will be by an easy-to-follow GPS app showing junctions as simple line diagrams (known as “Tulips” in the rallying world), pictures and maps. Each driving section will have Quest Drives incorporated into them which will consist of route based questions and challenges.

This is a relaxed social event. You can choose whether to opt into each Quest or enjoy the route as a tour. If you do opt in, you could find yourself at the top of the leaderboard and winning first place.

You make each day your own. You can simply drive the route and you can stop at places of interest along the way or you can follow the relaxed schedule. It is not timed, meaning you can relax and enjoy each day as it comes.

The event will have a maximum of 14 cars.

Questions & Answers

Q: How do I secure an entry?

A: Click on 'Get Offer' or 'Add to Cart'. Click deposit. Pay deposit. you will then receive a confirmation e mail, with an entry form attached. Please complete and return. You will be invoiced for the balance, on or before the 31st May 2026.

Join as a Member for £25 a year. Your Entry Fee will reduce to £1,795!

Q: Is there a minimum age?

Yes, because this event includes alcohol, the minimum age is 18.

Q: What car can I bring?

A: As the route isn't timed but more about your observation, it doesn't matter what car you bring. Whether it is electric to vintage, you will compete against each other. Something to bear in mind is that there will not be a mechanic on the event. You will need to have a crew of 2 people to participate.

Q: When is the balance due?

A: The balance is due 3 months before the event. You will receive an e mail reminder prior to the date.

Q: Why is the deposit non-refundable?

A: The deposit represents the initial costs for route recce and preparing the route and venues. Neither of these costs are recoverable.

Q: Who is organising this event, who are the organisers?

A: The route is created and developed by Venture Bound. Venture Bound is run by Elise Whyte one half of the Whyte Sisters Classic Rally Car Team.

Whatley Manor Hotel on a Gin Discovery with Quest Drive from Venture Bound

DAY 1 - Friday

Make your way to a charming privately owned hotel situated on the outskirts of Dundee, where you will receive a warm welcome upon your arrival.

This hotel will serve as our starting and finishing point for the entire trip, making it a convenient base for the adventure ahead.

Aim to arrive by mid-afternoon to allow yourself time to unwind and relax before the evening festivities commence. Early that evening, you will have the opportunity to meet your fellow travelers and your host over a welcome drink, featuring a selection of whisky sampling drams for you to enjoy.

For those who prefer something different, other beverages will also be available. Dinner will follow in a relaxed atmosphere, during which your host will provide an overview of the itinerary for Saturday, officially kicking off our exploration of the Highland and Speyside malt whisky distilleries.

Inside a Gin Distillery on a Gin Discovery with Quest Drive from Venture Bound

DAY 2 - Saturday

After enjoying a hearty breakfast and collecting your picnic hampers, you will depart from the hotel and head north towards Stonehaven, located just south of Aberdeen, before making your way west to Grantown-on-Spey.

Today’s journey will cover a total of 158 miles and will include visits to five distilleries—two located in the Highlands and three in Speyside. Among these distilleries is a modern facility that also produces vodka, gin, and whisky, followed by one of the oldest family-run distilleries in the eastern part of the country.

A coffee stop will be scheduled for the morning, along with suggested picnic lunch spots to enhance your experience. You will also have the option to participate in three Quest Drives along the route, with fun prizes for top performers, as well as a “wooden spoon” for the lowest score.

Although there is a suggested timetable, you are welcome to drive at your own pace and make stops as you wish, allowing for a more personalised experience.

We anticipate arriving at our overnight hotel in NethyBridge around 15:30 to 16:00, providing you with ample time to relax and explore the charming village before dinner.

During dinner, your host will summarize the day’s events, unveil the Quest Drive Challenge leaderboard, and outline what to expect for the following day.

DAY 3 - Sunday

After enjoying breakfast and collecting your picnic hampers for the day, you will set out on a 166-mile route that includes a coffee break and visits to five distilleries—one of which is located in the highest village in the Highlands.

This day’s route will feature one Speyside and four Highland malt distilleries, including a hidden gem that you will not want to miss before returning to our starting venue. The drive will take us south over the Cairngorms towards Pitlochry, showcasing some excellent roads for driving and stunning scenery that will leave you in awe. You will then head west and then east back to Dundee.

Additionally, you will have the option to participate in four Quest Drives today—let’s see which team excels! Lunch stop suggestions will be provided, along with details about the distilleries you will visit or pass. As always, the choice to stop or continue is entirely yours.

Tonight’s farewell dinner will reveal the day’s Quest Drive and overall leader-boards, culminating in a celebration of your achievements throughout the tour.

DAY 4 - Monday

Enjoy breakfast at your leisure, allowing you to savour the final moments of your Scottish adventure before heading on your way home. Each guest will also receive a thoughtful gift as a memento of the event, ensuring that you carry a piece of this remarkable journey with you.
