What's not included

Hotels - We know everyone has different budgets. For this event, you can choose where to stay. The HQ hotel will be Hotel Les Grains D'argent. Once you have paid your deposit, we will send you a list of hotels nearby starting from £50 a night.

Lunch - The day is yours. We want you to enjoy the day at your own pace and not to a schedule.

Dinner on Friday and Saturday - There are many nice restaurant around Epernay, we want you to enjoy the local atmosphere. However, if you want us to arrange dinner for you, you can add it onto your entry.

Easy Navigation

Navigation will be by an easy-to-follow GPS app showing junctions as simple line diagrams (known as “Tulips” in the rallying world), pictures and maps. Each driving section will have Quest Drives incorporated into them which will consist of route based questions and challenges.

This is a relaxed social event. You can choose whether to opt into each Quest or enjoy the route as a tour. If you do opt in, you could find yourself at the top of the leaderboard and winning first place.

You make each day your own. You can simply drive the route and finish lunch time or you can stop at the Champagne houses and places of interest on the route. It is not timed, meaning you can relax and enjoy each day as it comes.

The event has a minimum of 10 cars.

Questions & Answers

Q: How do I secure an entry?

A: Complete the entry form, and press submit. You will receive an e mail by return with our bank details on it. Please transfer the non-refundable deposit to secure your entry.

In the next 7 days you will receive an invoice for the total amount showing the deposit paid.

Q: Is there a minimum age?

Yes, because this event includes alcohol, the minimum age is 18.

Q: What car can I bring?

A: As the route isn't timed but more about your observation, it doesn't matter what car you bring. Whether it is electric to vintage, you will compete against each other. Something to bear in mind is that there will not be a mechanic on the event. You will need to have a crew of 2 people to participate.

Q: When is the balance due?

A: The balance is due 3 months before the event. You will receive an e mail reminder prior to the date.

Q: Why is the deposit non-refundable?

A: The deposit represents the initial costs for route recce and preparing the route and venues. Neither of these costs are recoverable.

Q: Who is organising this event, who are the organisers?

A: The route is created and developed by Venture Bound. Venture Bound is run by Elise Whyte one half of the Whyte Sisters Classic Rally Car Team.

Whatley Manor Hotel on a Gin Discovery with Quest Drive from Venture Bound

DAY 1 - Thursday

Arrive mid afternoon at your chosen hotel. The day is relaxed. There will be a welcome dinner and champagne reception at the HQ hotel to start the Champagne Discovery.

DAY 2 - Friday

The morning begins with a Quest Drive around the Champagne region. The morning concludes back at Epernay. Those of you who have booked lunch at the Royal Champagne hotel, will need to make their way to the venue. Tonight is a free evening. You can add dinner onto your booking, if you wish.

DAY 3 - Saturday

After breakfast, the competition commences with a Quest drive through the vineyards. Take your time and enjoy the picturesque scenery. The afternoon is to be spent at your leisure. Why not pop into Epernay and enjoy a glass on the Avenue de Champagne? Those who have booked the cellar tour at Mercier will enjoy this today. Tonight is a free night. You can add dinner on to your booking, if you wish.

DAY 4 - Sunday

Discover rolling countryside on a Gin Discovery with Quest Drive from Venture Bound

The final day begins with a morning Quest Drive through the region of Champagne and the opportunity to visit some smaller Champagne Houses. Those who have booked the self guided Pressoria tour, will get to enjoy the tastings before the event concludes.
Tonight you will finish the Champagne Discovery with a champagne toast before the farewell dinner. There will be a small awards presentation for overall Quest Drive winners.

Each guest will also receive a gift as a memento of the event.
